George F. Bass One of TIME Magazine’s Great Scientists

George F. Bass, the Founder of INA and Father of Underwater Archaeology, has been named one of TIME Magazine’s Great Scientists: The Geniuses and Visionaries Who Transformed Our World. How does it feel to be in the company of Howard Carter, who opened King Tut’s tomb; Hiram Bingham, who discovered Machu Picchu, and the Leakey family, who uncovered some of our earliest ancestors? Bass says he is “flattered and thrilled.” INA is deeply honored too! Congratulations George! The special edition is available through July.
