Learn about the Indianola Survey Summer 2016

Indianola, Texas was a proud and prosperous port on the western shore of Matagorda Bay during the second half of the 19th century. Providing deep water and an easily accessible land route to western Texas and beyond, Indianola found itself at the fortune of being at the right place at the right time.  The goal of the 2016 Indianola Survey, directed by Texas A&M University Ph.D. candidate Mr. Samuel Cuellar, is to resurvey and analyze the 6 anomalies detected by Hoyt and the THC in 2006, attempting to identify the identity and extent of each target and assess their present condition and how it has changed over the preceding decade.
