Dr. Deborah Cvikel, who is Associate Professor in the Department of Maritime Civilizations at the University of Haifa, was interviewed recently in conjunction with her ongoing excavation of the 7th- or 8th-century Byzantine shipwreck at Ma’agan Mikhael, Israel.
