2020-2021 Projects

Fieldwork & Research Projects

The countless disruptions and cancellations caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic have also affected more than a dozen INA field projects scheduled for 2020. These projects have been rescheduled for 2021 and awarded funding has been rolled forward so that project directors will have access to those funds in 2021. Furthermore, in 2021, INA committed $90,000 in support of more than six new archaeological projects around the globe. INA research is driven by the graduate students and faculty of Texas A&M University’s Nautical Archaeology Program, as well as by INA Affiliated Scholars and Research Associates.
